China Glaze - Flying Dragon On Fire

Pin It Now!
Today I have something multi-dimensional for you! I stumbled upon it, as I usually stumble upon things, via Ebay. I was looking for yet another purple to add to my collection, saw China Glaze Flying Dragon (neon) in a blurry photo and decided to buy it. It's my first experience with China Glaze neons, and it makes me want to track down all of them!

This polish is special. It's an intense fuchsia/purple with blue glitter. The polish dries to a matte finish but the blue glitter sparkles through subtly. This finish is quite different from anything I've seen before. It's pretty smooth to put on, but has texture when dry, if I'm making any sense. Definitely not something you come across often. I'm sure even more seasoned nail bloggers would agree with me. It now lives in the treasure box reserved for my "special" polishes.

"Interesting......", strokes chin while turning bottle over in her hands.

So to add a little shine, I had a sudden idea. Max Factor Fantasy Fire of course! This looks so cool in real life and for lack of a better phase - it adds another dimension to Flying Dragon. Takes it to another level, and that's with just one coat of FF. Feast your eyes below, check out the images in full size, but the camera hardly captures the magic.

Neon purple base with blue and red glitter and a high gloss finish. I'm going to be wearing this combo a lot this summer.

I was trying to think about what I wanted to stamp over my super sparkly mani (not that it needed more). Gold on purple always looks good, and I was flipping through my Monster Bundle plates and thought of Chinese fans - because of flying dragons. I used BM215 for my thumb and then BM204 for the other fingers. I think they look more like fireworks than fans.

Like I wrote earlier, I now have a mission to find the other China Glaze neons. I must possess them all!!!

Ahem, sorry about that. Maybe you can point me in the right direction. Which China Glaze neon should I stalk next?

  2. China glaze flying dragon is a beautiful colour. My bottle is almost finish. I always wear it with a gloss top coat. I will try it with fire fantasy next time.

  3. Dunno if you found more neons but CG Blue Sparrow is in the same family with Flying Dragon and it is also gorgeous!! There are actually a lot of CG neons. Summer Neons Collecation, Electropop Collection, Poolside Collection, Wow Factor Knockout Neon Collection...just tons of them. But Flying Dragon and Blue Sparrow are by far the most interesting of the bunch...they are both from the 2008 INK Collection.
